Here on a warm night
Thursday, August 9th, 2007The house seems to be going through. I signed papers yesterday, and unless the underwriters change their minds in the next 24 hours, the funds should be released tomorrow and I’ll get to take possession! We’re heading to Jerry’s tonight to pick up lumber for the fence and paint for the walls.
In wedding-related news, there is none. Well maybe a little. The invitations have been sent out to non-locals, and we’ve got a few left to hand out directly. There’s a great quote on them from Garrison Keillor, excerpted from a short piece from A Prairie Home Companion that I hadn’t heard before, that we just randomly ran across on the ‘web. It’s transcribed here, read it if you’ve got a moment - it’s wonderful.
